More Details About US Below!
Alert!
Most people today are unaware of
the toxic materials used to make our products that we rely so heavily on for
word processing, internet, and gaming. In most cases a computer is an
assembly of over a 1000 different pieces of toxic materials including, but
not limited too: Chlorinated and Brominate substances, toxic gases, toxic
metals, biologically active materials, acids, plastic additives, and so on.
The National Safety Council's Environmental Health Center released reports
saying that only 6% of computers were recycled in 1998 compared to the
number being produced. In 2004 there were over 315 million obsolete
computers in the US, many of which will be destined for landfills,
incinerators, or hazardous waste exports.
We are very concerned with the
ecology of the planet and want to help you dispose of your older, unused
equipment in a manner that is best for the environment. Together we
can help to save the planet by properly recycling e-waste and reusing
equipment.

Asset
Evaluation
HCDI can provide a market value for
capital equipment. HCDI professionals have extensive experience in
evaluating high technology equipment.
Return
on Investment
We understand that organizations invest
great sums of money on their IT infrastructure, so we work hard to maximize
the return on your investment. HCDI employs a highly experienced staff
and a powerful marketing arm, both of which are focused on the resale of
your equipment. An amount of revenue obtained from these sales can be
returned to your company after direct expenses are applied.
We
market directly to end users, giving us a clear advantage over our
competition with regard to revenues generated via re-marketing. Put
simply: HCDI can re-market your products for more money than our
competition. For more information, please follow this link

Inventory Tracking
If needed, HCDI can and will inventory
all items received. The inventory report will include location, type
of equipment, manufacturer, model numbers, serial numbers and asset tag
numbers.
Data Removal
When an organization is divesting a computer, or any
other data storage device, the organization enters into a liability
position. The contents of that storage device (hard drive, optical drive,
floppy disk, etc.) could be as benign as a person's recipe book to as secure
as your customer database.
The purpose of data destruction, and more importantly finding a reliable
data destruction service provider, is to minimize the risk to your
organization, while maximizing the ROI of your used assets/equipment.
With the increased risk of identity theft, as well as the more stringent
requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA), the Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA) and the Gramm Leach
Bliley Act (GLB), companies are assuming a greater liability for data
security.
There are multiple levels of data destruction available, ranging from simple
reformatting your drive (also referred to as file deletion, or
repartitioning), drive overwriting, and physical destruction of the storage
medium.
HCDI can offer you whatever services you need to
protect your sensitive data. All software used in our data destruction
process is HIPAA, RFPA, GLB, and DoD 5220.22M compliant.
Destruction
Equipment
Destruction
HCDI supplies a destruction service for computer
equipment, so your company is assured that the equipment, such as
proprietary chips and circuit boards, will not be available to the general
public. We have technicians on staff for the cleaning of all hard
drives so that all sensitive information is removed. All items we receive
for destruction are inventoried and destroyed under our EPA license.
Certificate of
Destruction
HCDI provides both a Certificate of Destruction, and
an affidavit of destruction letter. The certification states that all items
and equipment received for destruction were destroyed in compliance with
Federal, State, County and Local regulations under our EPA license.
An affidavit of destruction letter is prepared with the signatures of two
witnesses who observed destruction, the signatures are notarized. This
letter is normally accompanied with many photographs showing the destruction
of the equipment.
Recycling
HCDI recycles equipment in compliance with all
Federal, State, County and Local regulations.
Monitor
Recycling
Monitors are received, evaluated and
tested to determine whether or not they are working and salable units.
Working units are cleaned and made available for sale.
Non-working monitors require special care
as they cannot be disposed of in landfills. HCDI has the knowledge and
experience necessary to ensure that monitors are disposed of properly and
potentially save your organization thousands of dollars in disposal fees.
Computer
Recycling
Computer systems are received, evaluated
and tested to determine if the complete system is a working or non-working
unit. Our evaluation process involves testing of motherboards, chips,
hard drives, etc.
When computers are found to be working
units, the hard drives are wiped, ensuring the destruction of all data.
The computer is then cleaned and prepped for sale.
Non-working units are stripped for parts.
Hard drives are wiped or destroyed to ensure that all data is destroyed.
Components are tested and if found to be operational, are resold. Non
working items are disposed of in the best manner possible.
Certificate
of recycling
When requested, HCDI will provide a
Certificate of Recycling which states that all recycling to be done is in
compliance with all Federal, State, County and Local regulations under EPA
license.
