Q: What is your return policy on Refurbished Computers or Refurbished Laptops?
A: All of our products, including refurbished computers and laptops, come with a 30 day 100% satisfaction guarantee.  Longer warranties are available.

Q: How do I receive technical support on my purchase of refurbished computers?
A: If you encounter a problem with your refurbished computer or laptop, your best avenue for a solution is to email us at care@1hcdi.com with specific details about your technical problem, as well as your personal information such as phone number, invoice number, and whether you purchased a refurbished computer or a refurbished laptop, along with model numbers.  The more information you can provide, the better. You can expect a resolution via email or phone, or we will gladly use your preference.

Q: What is the condition of your refurbished computers and laptops?
A.

Q: Can I customize / upgrade refurbished computers?
A: Depending on which refurbished computer you choose, you may be able to customize it to your preference.  Upgrades are also available on all of our refurbished laptops and computers.  We provide various services and upgrades for your refurbished computer, from Memory to Warranties.

Q: Will my refurbished computer or laptop include any operating system or other software?
A:  As a pinnacle of the great value we offer in our refurbished computer and laptop solutions, we provide the Windows XP Professional operating system loaded (installed) on all of our refurbished computers and laptops (unless otherwise specified in the listing).  In addition, you may sometimes find special bargains on certain refurbished laptops or refurbished computers that will include additional software beyond the operating system. These offers may include bundled educational software, antivirus or POS applications.  However, please note that bundled software will not necessarily be pre-installed on the accompanying

Q: Will the AC adapter be included with the refurbished computer or laptop I've purchased online?
A: YES! Any order you place for a refurbished computer or laptop computer will include a compatible power supply.

Q: How much tax will be assessed to my purchase of refurbished computers?
A: We charge applicable sales tax to refurbished computers and laptops shipping to locations within the State of Texas.  If your refurbished computer order falls within this tax criteria, the appropriate amount of 8.25% of the sale price will be added to the Order Total for your refurbished computer purchase.

Q: Can I get same-day shipping on refurbished computers and laptops?
A: In most cases, we can fulfill requests for same day shipping on most refurbished computer or refurbished laptop orders. Additional fees may apply.

 

Q: How much will I pay for Overnight or 2-Day shipping on refurbished laptops or computers?

A. The cost of special shipping services such as Overnight or 2nd Day shipping for refurbished laptops and refurbished computers will depend on several factors.  These factors may include, but are not limited to: Total weight of the order, your location, the preferred shipping carrier and the type of packaging required to ship your refurbished computers. We advise to call with detailed information about your special shipping request so that we may quote a price more sufficiently.
 

Q:  Why does my refurbished computer have an amber light on the front instead of green?

A:  Shipping can be a rough process.  In some cases, the processor has become dislodged and needs to be re-seated on the mother board. This is a simple process and can be done in minutes. See video below.

 

  • Squeeze side buttons and open the machine.

  • You will see a larger piece of metal we call a "Heat Sink"

  • On one side of this Heat Sink there will be a lever that holds it down.

  • Lift up this lever and remove the Heat Sink to View the processor.

  • There will be another latch holding down the processor.

  • Lift this latch, remove the processor and then re-seat it into its place.

  • There is only one way the processor will fit in, so you cannot put it in wrong, but don't force the processor into the mother board!  If it doesn't fall in, it is probably turned the wrong way. On one corner of the processor there is a hole. Align the hole with the top left corner of the processor's socket on the mother board.

  • Replace Heat Sink and close all latches.

  • Be sure to check all cables, memory, and make sure they are all firmly connected before closing.

Q:  Why is my refurbished 650 computer not showing video?

A:  Again shipping is a rough process for a computer.  As stated before, open your machine. 

  • Find the card where you plug in your monitor. 

  • Push down on the card evenly on both sides to make sure it is completely seated down

  • Then tighten the screw holding it in. 

  • Be sure to check all cables, memory, and make sure they are all firmly connected before closing.

We would again like to stress the fact that in no way do we want you to try to do anything to your system that you are uncomfortable with.  We only are trying to save you time by avoiding the return shipping process, and risk of the same problem occurring again when shipping back to you.  Technical Support is here to help, and can better guide you through these processes!
